I decided to try being a vegetarian, emphasis on the try, and I don’t mean this as “Yeah I’ll try it, and if I don’t like it whatever.” What I mean by this is that I’m going to be stepping into a vegetarian lifestyle bit by bit because I don’t know everything there is to know about this lifestyle.
I already don’t eat meat as often for several reasons and stay away from dairy, but I still need to gain more knowledge and truly understand what it means to be vegetarian day by day before I can truly call myself one.
(Side Note: I know a lot of people have strong feelings about vegetarians/veganism. I’m not an expert on it, but I have my reasons for wanting to try it.)
I think being a vegetarian or vegan is a great thing and I hope that my journey with it is great and it lasts. Moreover, I invite any of you to try going vegan or vegetarian or incorporate these types of meals in your weekly meal plans. I know it can be hard, but we’ll be on this journey together.
For now, I’m going to look to experienced vegetarians for help. That means watching a lot of “What I eat in a day” and “tips for new vegetarians/vegans” on YouTube, talking to people who I know are vegetarian/vegan, and consulting a doctor about this.
